About Ronja:

I work as a program officer at the German National Agency for the European Solidarity Corps (JUGEND für Europa), being in charge of the implementation of volunteering activities and solidarity projects in Germany, further development of the programme and its thematic priorities as well as the coordination of the alumni network (EuroPeers). JUGEND für Europa is the National Agency for the European Youth Programmes Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION and the European Solidarity Corps, assigned to implement both programmes in Germany. Its mission includes the funding of European youth projects, further development of (international) youth work and the promotion of European cooperation in the youth field.

About speech:

Thanks to the European Union, our life is full of opportunities to travel abroad, to live abroad, to volunteer or study abroad. At the same time, right-wing populism is rising and euroscepticism is widespread. The pandemic has once more shown that we have to stand together to overcome important challenges that we are facing and not just take benefits for granted. During this talk, you will find out how you can contribute to tackle societal challenges and to promote solidarity in Europe while living a non-formal learning experience. You will learn about funding opportunities for your own activism within the European youth programmes Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION and the European Solidarity Corps. You will also get to know the National Agency, its role and mission and how it can support you realizing your project ideas.
