Workshop description: 

The discussion group aims at exploring the concepts of Intercultural dialogue and nonviolent communication while providing a theoretical framework and discussing examples close to the participants' day-to-day life.

 

Facilitator: Dzhaafer Saatcha

Dzhafer is a professional trainer with solid experience in Non-Formal Education, Youth Work, Youth Empowerment and Human Rights Education. He is one of the establishing members of Amnesty International Bulgaria. Since the very beginning, he's been part of the core team shaping the vision, mission and main work areas. Currently, he is the Human Rights Education coordinator and board member.

Dzhafer is also part of the Trainers' Pool of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe. Throughout the years, he has been involved in many different educational activities, projects and campaigns. He had leading roles in supervising study sessions and training courses organised by the Youth Department. He has been working in different on different topics related to human rights, such as minority rights, rights of migrants and asylum seekers, campaigns against hate speech, revitalising democracy and democratic values amongst youth in Europe and building the political capacity of the youth workers and respectively the youth centres in Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

Dzhafer is one of the trainers working closely with the youth delegates of the "Rejuvenating Politics" initiative of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. He has an educational and supervising role in the process of the preparation and meaningful participation of the youth delegates in the sessions of the Congress.
